Growing educational company looking to hire a Bookkeeper, part-time to start (15-25 hours to week for first 2-3 months of training), eventually to develop into a full-time position around August/September.
Full-time position is salaried with benefits.
We are looking for the right person to fit into our fun, but busy office in downtown Manhattan.
Need to be friendly, intelligent, and proactive.
MUST have experience with QuickBooks.
Tasks at hand include:
Enter, review, and categorize expenses and receipts
Reconcile and enter credit card and bank statements
Prepare and send invoices
Manage Accounts Receivable: Enter and deposit payments, follow up on late payments and assist in resolving issues
Manage Accounts Payable: Review bills and invoices for accuracy and categorization
Manage Payroll receipts and subcontractor invoices
Provide a quick response in regards parent requests and accounting issues
Must fit the following:
College graduate
Firm grasp of English language- written and verbal
You will be required to make calls with our clients to discuss charges
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Excel
Customer service oriented; part of the position includes educating parents about our tutoring services
Exceptional organizational skills
Ability to prioritize, work independently, and self-direct
Detail oriented
Dependable
At least 1 year full-time bookkeeping/accounting experience
Would love to find someone with start-up experience
