Position: Preschool Teacher for a Cooperative Preschool Program

Hours: Monday thru Friday 8:30 -- 12:30 (based on NYC Public School Schedule)

Calendar: Teacher will teach five times weekly for 38 weeks. The School Holidays will be: Election Day Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, HolidayBreak, Midwinter Break, Spring Break

Location: Cobble Hill area

Salary: $ 90.00 daily-- unpaid holidays

Preschool Program for ten children in search of a part-time preschool co-teacher to actively engage a group of 3 year olds

We are looking for a teacher with preschool teaching experience and degree in early childhood.to create and lead the curriculum for our classroom. The curriculum will focus on children learning through play and interactive activities. The teacher will further the children's language and vocabulary development (using storytelling, rhyming games,and singing), improve social skills (having the children work together to build), and introduce scientific and mathematical concepts (showing the children how to balance and count blocks when building a bridge or how to mix colors when painting). We are looking to create a structured day that has a consistent schedule and incorporates creative activities such as art, dance, and music. Teacher will collaborate with co-teacher for all facets of the program.

Qualification, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

College degree required, preferably in Education

Valid NYS Certification in any of the following:

Early Childhood Education (Birth -- Grade 2)

Pre -- Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grades 1 -- 6

Childhood Education Grades 1 -- 6

Previous early childhood classroom experience, preferably in an urban setting

Experience creating Curriculum

CPR certified

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience communicating children's progress to parents

Collaborate with co-teacher
