We are currently seeking an Interim Design Development Project Manager to work out of our Corporate Headquarters located in New York City.
This individual will provide project management for the Design Development team focused on working closely with clients on the design and development of their fitness center or spa.
This would include:
Attend project meetings with owners and architects to plan facility development
Produce program lists related to the facility design for architectural direction
Working closely with the architect related to the schematic development
Providing AutoCAD layouts of the exercise equipment areas
Provide the specification of exercise equipment, lockers, flooring, and other related items.
Review of construction drawings and development of recommendation memos related to the drawings.
Coordinate equipment procurement and delivery.
Assistance in capital budget development, vendor quote gathering, client purchase order development and administration, and equipment research assistance.
This position is a part time position that requires the meeting of deadlines and client interaction. The hours have some flexibility, however there are time sensitive aspects of these projects that need immediate attention and quick turnaround.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD programs is required.
Understanding of architectural planning, fitness center/spa design, and project management
Client management skills experience is required.
A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture or a related field plus a minimum of 1 year experience is recommended.
Experience and interest in the technical aspects of exercise equipment is recommended, but not required.
Experience in budget development and management is recommended.
