This is a great opportunity to learn about a different side of the photo industry.You would be exposed to an environment of the business of photography and photo production, how photographers get work, and artist career management.
We're a NYC based, internationally recognized photography representation agency. The 15 photographers, 6 stylists, and 4 hair make-up artists, we currently represent provide a wide range of options to clients. Our photographers shoot for major advertising agencies and editorial work for magazines in New York and throughout the country.
You would be exposed to a fast-paced work environment. You would gain knowledge about photography representation, advertising commission and editorial job processes, with a strong emphasis on production and sales, as well as the ins and outs of the creative business.
Experience or familiarity in photography, photo production, or marketing is preferred.
Working knowledge of MS Office, Photoshop, contact databases, and Macintosh platform are required.
Responsibilities include:
Answering the phone, and taking messages
Helping to organize and keep track of photographers portfolios and artwork
Relevant production errands pertaining to photo shoots
Ordering office supplies
Sending and receiving packages
Ordering messengers
Office maintenance (cleaning, tidying, etc.)
