Credit Products Sales Assistant (Stamford)

An elite security brokerage and research services firm is looking to hire a Credit Products Sales Assistant. The Firm is currently serving over 1000+ institutional accounts including asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, hedge funds and investment firms globally.

In this role, you will work with the sales team to provide a high level of support and facilitation of trades to both the sales team as well as customers.

Specific job responsibilities will include:
- Work with credit salesman and operations to insure proper processing of trades
- Perform month end client position marking function
- Insure all incoming phone calls are received and treated with discretion and professionalism
- Work to develop a level of comfort with sales client relationships and ability to manage these relationships in the absence of the salesperson.
- Attend morning credit meetings
- Work to develop an understanding of the company's research product

Qualifications:
- 1 year prior work experience, preferably from a related operational or support background with a knowledge of Credit Products and related trade processing preferred.
- Candidates should be self starting, and possess strong organizational, communication and customer service skills.
- Should have a strong intellectual curiosity surrounding the industry and have the desire to learn as part of the role.
- Demonstrable analytical and computer skills. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work in a high volume and fast paced environment.
- Commitment and ability to work flexible hours.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field
