Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated professional to join an established multi faceted construction firm.
Looking for an individual to expand our non-union construction management and owner's representative services while maintaining our core interior general construction services.
Functions and responsibilities:
Continually identify new client business opportunities, develop and maintain relationships with existing clients.
Develop an effective marketing plan and winning strategies in the market place.
Deliver compelling presentations to introduce the company's capabilities and benefit of using our firm.
Build effective and continued relationships with customers, design team and subcontractors.
Identify and evaluate new markets through networking.
Oversee new projects through completion to ensure all projects meet or exceed client and design team expectations.
Update, enhance and maintain company's website and brochure.
Assist with hiring new staff as company grows.
Provide direction for the day to day office operations, including the management of preparing proposals and bid packages.
Review project plans and specifications identifying risk.
Perform quantity take offs for conceptual and bid estimates as needed.
Prepare general conditions, schedule and site logistics with staff.
Be able to review drawings for value engineering, coordination conflicts and constructability issues.
Update and manage company policies and procedures for company wide use.
Manage office and field operations.
Ensure project information is maintained, documented and flowing.
Performs other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate past and current business / friendship network (developers, owners, owner's representatives, architects, engineers and other professional services) that could create business opportunities.
Must have experience in one market (Education, housing, corporate, other) for 5 years or more.
Demonstrate ability to successfully expand new business and grow existing business.
Must be able to work effectively with others.
Possess a full understanding of the design and building process.
B.S. Degree in construction management, business, marketing or related field.
Must be able to multi-task and be effective in getting tasks completed.
Experienced in estimating, purchasing and budgeting.
Must be a team leader with the ability to effectively manage staff.
Excellent organizational, planning skills and time management skills.
Superb written/oral communications skills.
Excellent written, verbal and computer skills.
