inSparq is a New York tech startup that is re-inventing how products are sold online. We are taking what's most compelling about real world shopping and building products that redefine the online shopping experience to improve product discovery and social engagement for major retailers. The company backed by an amazing group of angels and connected deep into the NYC startup ecosystem. Our products are live on 250+ retailers and we're growing fast.

We are looking for a smart, highly motivated individual with at least seven years of experience in middle-tier/back-end development to join our fast-growing team. We want you to have strong, pragmatic, hands-on knowledge of both server and browser-side technologies (full-stack capable), and a passion for building great web applications.

About you:
Self-starter and professional developer, in every sense of the word
Well-organized individual who documents their work and code
Proponent of test-first development
Passionate about writing lean multi-useful code
Great communicator and excellent multi-tasker
Have a good reputation on GitHub and/or Stack Overflow

Technologies we use (you do not need experience with all of these):
Languages: PHP (CodeIgniter), Node.js, Ruby
Database: CouchDB, MySQL and Redis
Web Server: Nginx and Apache
Version control: Git
Deployment: Capistrano
Front End: HTML/CSS and lots of Javascript/AJAX.

Your primary responsibilities will be:
Leading in the creation and development of our new product suite
Assisting in the maintenance of our current product suite

Compensation is startup market rate and includes full health benefits and equity. Given the nature of this job, it will be very competitive but we will take a serious look at everyone's submission and get back to you quickly.
