News media web startup is seeking a motivated person to add to the sales/marketing/business development.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a passion for building relationships.

Responsibilities include:
* Make outbound calls to acquire new business (news outlets )
* Develop and execute strategic business plans with the current team
* Develop and manage relationships with national press clubs, news outlets, (will help with initial steps).
* Exercises excellent business judgment, combined with knowledge of organizational strategies to successfully promote firm-wide communications.
* Use your media contacts to promote and expand our reach.
* Locate decision makers in news organizations and contact them to acquire new business.

Requirements:
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a related field is required for this role.
- Experience working at a news media company. (Reuters, Time Warner Cable, Newscorp, Viacom, ...)
- Excellent communication skills
- A high attention to detail
- A desire to work in a fast-paced environment, and a personal drive for success.
