Major Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the activities of the Corporate Accounting Department, including Payables, Receivables and Payroll.
Full responsibility for managing the assembly of the Monthly/Quarterly/Annual yearend financial statements.
Responsible for all Cash Management including hedging and managing cash.
Responsible for the integrity of the Books including all reconciliations.
Manage all aspects of the Monthly/Quarterly/Annual tax requirements.
Manage all aspect of the Annual Audit including the Inventory and Audit itself.
Create policies and controls as needed.
Managing a staff of 3 professional accountants.
Report to the Director of Finance and Operations.
Responsible for maintaining the current ERP system Navision (main system), along with Celerant software (retail stores) and charting their future course.

Background (skills and abilities required)

Prior Controllership experience a must (Minimum of 10 years).
Controllership in a retail environment is an absolute requirement!
Proven track record of having worked in a fast paced and growing business environment.
BS/BA in Accounting -- MBA/CPA a plus
Computer literacy including excellent excel/spreadsheet skills.
Knowledge of Database management is a Plus.
Experience with interfacing with all levels of Management.
Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax and banking knowledge.
Strong managerial skills
