Art Director/Graphic Designer (Midtown West)

Midtown Media Company seeks an Art Director/Graphic Designer. This position is responsible for the creation of all visual design elements, including typography, visual concept, logo and icons for the print, Internet and interactive platforms ensure that the visual design will both communicate the desired message, and function successfully for multiple delivery specifications. This person must be capable of leading the creative aspects of a project and demonstrate strong concepts and ability to execute in a timely manner.

Must be able to multitask and manage several different projects at once.
Ability to oversee and manage 1-2 PT designers or interns.

Responsibilities include:
Overall branding and design.
Website design, banner ads.
Print ads
Packaging design
Illustration
Logo design/concepts
Email marketing campaigns, mailing campaigns
Signage, posters etc. . .

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a marketing background - 4+ years of professional experience.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, PHP and dynamic HTML; experience with Macromedia Flash is a strongly recommended
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues
- Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving
- Ability to work in a team and to communicate in a clear way to provide training to staff and faculty.
- Strong knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design, and experience with web database solutions definite assets.

Salary is 50-65k.
