Easter Seals Project Explore was developed in conjunction with the Valhalla School District to respond to a need by parents in Valhalla for quality After School programs, Child Care and Pre-Kindergarten programs. Project Explore focuses on Cognitive Development, Social Development and Language Development through the After School, Integrated Preschool and Inclusive Child Day Care Program

Project Explore in Valhalla, NY is seeking a part-time Teacher's Assistant to provide educational services, under the supervision of the teacher, to children with varied behavior issues and disabilities.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Assist in caring for physical needs of children.
2. Supervise class when teacher is involved with individual students or in staffing.
3. Attend staffing, departmental in-service meetings as assigned.
4. Assist in keeping classroom and program supplies ready and well maintained.
5. Maintain professional ethics in the building and out, regarding the discussion of pupils, and their conditions.
6. Assist individuals with toileting and personal care needs when necessary.
7. Assist with behavior management of children as outlined by Program and Agency policies.
