From offices in New York City, Philadelphia, and San Francisco, the firm works with clients nationally and, increasingly, internationally. Services to our clients include strategic planning, organizational assessment and development, feasibility studies, program and organizational evaluation, board development, restructuring and repositioning, as well as grant program design, evaluation, and facilitation.

TCC Group has an exciting opportunity available for a capable finance and accounting person. The position is full-time and will be based in New York. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing support to the Director of Finance, specifically with contracts, project tracking, billing, accounts payable and creation of financial reports for the firm. The senior accountant will be expected to build close and collaborative relationships with management and general staff as well as perform a variety of tasks pertaining to the finance function of the firm. The senior accountant will also be deeply involved in the firm's transition from MAS 200 to Deltek Vision, a software program geared towards project-based businesses. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Contracts
Responsible for, but not limited to:
o Collaboration with appropriate staff on all aspects of client and affiliate contract preparation, finalization and tracking.
o Reconciling data in all relevant reports
o Processing independent contractor invoices

Project Tracking
Responsible for, but not limited to:
o Administrative set up of all new projects including database entry, review of contracts and budgets, setting up billing schedule and filing,
o Posting staff time to project management reports
o Preparation of client billing, and management of Project Status Reports
o Variance analysis and project profitability reporting

Billing, Analysis and Other Tasks
Responsible for, but not limited to:
o Preparation of selected client billings, obtaining approvals, and mailing invoices
o Follow up with Project Managers on past due accounts
o Monthly analysis and reconciliation of Grant escrow accounts
o Account analysis, and special projects

Required Skills/Background
Advanced skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
Strong understanding of financial management procedures and accounting/bookkeeping including but not limited to understanding of financial statements; cash flow analysis; cash management; account analysis; budgeting/forecasting and office administration.
Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Able to prepare complex spreadsheets, including use of pivot tables
Must have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to communicate internally with all levels of staff
Able to work under pressure with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
Must be willing and able to undertake administrative as well as accounting tasks.
Must be able to effectively prioritize, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
Education/Experience
Bachelors Degree in accounting required.
Minimum five -- eight years work experience, including at least two with a professional services firm.
Familiarity with project accounting and various methods of revenue recognition.
Experience with systems implementation, data migration, and working with Deltek Vision and MAS 200 are definite pluses.
