Join this top Fund of Fund! The firm is publicly traded and based out of Midtown Mnahattan. The operational due diligence team is comprised of 13 indivuduals. The team is responsible for performing initial and ongoing operational due diligence with respect to the firm's underlying hedge fund managers. The team evaluates a manager based upon a comprehensive review of the overall business and specifically focuses on the operational risks associated with managing an alternative asset investment firm. A manager's size and strategy, along with industry best practices are taken into account when performing this evaluation.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will include: participating in operational due diligence meetings, performing due diligence reviews on hedge fund service providers and documenting due diligence meetings. An Analyst will also perform regulatory research on managers, analyze manager financial statements and assist in evaluating the overall operational risk of a hedge fund manager.
In addition to working at one of the world's leading alternative investment firms, Analysts gain the opportunity to access and learn about the dynamic and unique hedge fund market. Meetings are often conducted with CFOs, COOs, etc. of the respective funds, giving Analysts exposure to seasoned industry professionals.
We are specifically targeting candidates who have approximately 1-7 years of relevant work experience, ideally within the hedge fund or audit industry. Candidates should have a strong desire to analyze hedge funds and the financial industry from an operational and business perspective. We are looking to identify candidates would who like to establish a long-term career path.
