A full-service regional investment banking firm is looking to hire a self-starting Analyst. This role will gain tremendous exposure to a wide variety of transactions, including public and private offerings, sellside and buyside MA, and corporate financial advisory services. Analysts work on multiple projects simultaneously, with primary responsibilities for the research and analysis related to transaction generation and execution. This will be a great stepping stone for any graduating student or current professionals interested in building a sell-side career or moving to the buy-side before an MBA.

Specific responsibilities include conducting industry research, building financial modesl to analyze company projections or potential transactions, analyzing valuation methodologies including the ability to perform market-based valuations such a spublic company and MA transaction analyses and cash flow based valuations such as discounted cash flow and lefveraged buyout analysis, drafting offering memorandums for public and private financings, drafting client presentation materials and working with clients to execute financing or merger transactions.

DUTIES:
* Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
* Identify the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of financial information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Evaluate and analyze information results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
* Produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions. Document or record information.
* Maintain knowledge and stay abreast of developments in the fields of industrial technology, business, finance, and economic theory.
* Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability, future trends in investment risks, and economic influences.
* Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
* Monitor fundamental economic, industrial and corporate developments through the analysis of information obtained from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, and personal interviews.
* Recommend investments and investment timing to companies, investment firm staff, or the investing public.
* Determine the prices at which securities should be syndicated and offered to the public.
* Prepare plans of action for investment based on financial analyses.
* Evaluate and compare the relative quality of various securities in a given industry.
* Present oral and written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations, and entire industries.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in a business-related field; prefer degree to be in Finance or Accounting.
* One year of relevant experience.
* Strong quantitative/analytical skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Superior attention to detail
* Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
* Series 7 and 63
