Our rapid growth has created an excellent career opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Collections Specialist who will have hands-on responsibility to contact and collect delinquent loan accounts. The position has excellent career growth potential and initially reports directly to the company's Chief Financial Officer.
About the Job
Responsible for overall relationship management with delinquent loan clients
Collaborate with internal departments as needed to analyze and resolve delinquent loan accounts
Communicate with clients to understand the issues impacting their ability make timely loan payments
Negotiate successful repayment arrangements based on each client circumstance
Qualified Candidates
Bachelors degree in finance or related discipline
3+ years of experience in Collections
Knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines
Knowledge of MS Office (including Excel and Word)
Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Full background check and results must be clean
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Flexible working hours including Saturdays
Persistent and resilient personality
Description/Expectations
Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients and others
Negotiate and document repayment programs with delinquent customers
Make recommendations to improve daily collection processes and work flow
Obtain additional credit information on borrower as needed
Track and control collection transactions as per the client repayment program
Make decisions on assessment of finance and collection charges
Escalate settlement negotiation approvals as needed with CFO, Inside/Outside Counsel
Prepare daily/weekly management reports to the Loan Committee
