HEAD OF INSTITUTIONAL CLIENT SERVICE
CORPORATE AND PUBLIC PENSION PLANS
A well established global investment advisory firm, headquartered in the UK with nearly $300B AUM's, seeks to hire an experienced client service manager to work in its New York City offices. This person will spearhead service for the firm's institutional clients within the USA and Canada and will be tasked with managing a team of 4-5 Client Service Executives dedicated to servicing the firm's 180 US institutional clients, with approximately $ 45B AUM's. Clients are a mix of corporate and public pension plans, Erisa, non-Erisa and Taft -- Hartley plans, non-profits and endowments
Members of the team are dedicated to providing highly complex regulatory and operational support to clients through conference calls, emails and meetings. They work closely with the Investment and Sales teams to manage client requests regarding: account and fund performance, cash flows, contracts, and various other operational and regulatory updates and issues. Each team member possesses deep knowledge of institutional distribution channel rules and regulations as well as broad knowledge of all asset classes. As such, their leader must possess similar knowledge and attributes along with:
- Strong process-driven and project management skillsets
- The ability to develop relationships with and navigate a variety of personalities
- Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- A 4-year college degree and FINRA 7/63 licenses (or the ability to get within 3-6 months of employment)
- Experience with on going account maintenance and client facing meetings, about 20-25% of the job
- Proven abilities to manage relationships with internal partners (legal, compliance, fund administration, marketing and distribution)
- Proven talent managing and supervising a group of 3-5 individuals who are expected to turn around standard and ad hoc client requests in an efficient and timely manner
