Summary:
We are looking for a Director of Operations to assist the Managing Director or Data Services Technology in running the day to day affairs of Operations. The operation's group, responsible for the firm's daily acquisition, reconciliation, and aggregation of client data. The Director of Operations will interface heavily with Client Service, and Sales and Technology groups, in order to guide and improve the operational and strategic aspects of the business.
Candidate should have both strong subject matter and business management expertise within wealth management and/or family offices and have a strong background in portfolio accounting, data operations, and related technologies. Individual must possess strong understanding of investment related performance reporting, reference data and corporate actions processing/management, account and security master design/maintenance. Specific knowledge of the wealth management industry (i.e. financial planning/advisory tools resources) would be particularly advantageous. The Director of Operations will need to be a highly polished and dynamic communicator with the ability to partner with Sales, Implementations, and Relationship Management in a client facing capacity.
Responsibilities:
Manage Operations to further mentor/develop current 20 person operations team; establish trust and confidence as an industry SME
Streamline and enhance the implementation of Client requirements
Identify areas for product/process improvements (i.e. CRM and/or Billing partnerships)
Plan, train, evaluate and lead team of associates, analysts and senior analysts by setting goals and objectives for creating a climate of excellence within the department.
Manages the day-to-day activities of the operations department by processing and reconciling investment transaction feeds. Assist team members on reconciliation process and seeking improvement in skills and processes.
Assists in evaluating current and proposed procedures. Recommends changes when necessary and assists in implementation of new procedures.
Gather investment information from security custodians and process through our internal accounting and performance management platforms.
Research and escalate client data quality issues to the Quality Assurance Team as appropriate.
Requirements:
Minimum 10years overall experience
5+ years of related financial services industry experience
5+ years of management experience
4 year business related degree
