No prior quant or finance experience is necessary for this quant programmer position, but programming skills (in Python, Ruby, Java, C++ or any other object oriented language) are essential. Mathematics and problem solving skills are a plus. This job is perfect for those with programming skills who are interested in getting their first experience in quantitative finance or quantitative investing, or for those who are interested in getting more hands on experience in software development and would prefer to do so at a small company run by young people.
We are seeking quants or computer programmers to assist us in the implementation and development of our investment strategies, strategy analysis software, data acquisition software, trading execution software, reporting software, and database systems. The exact nature of your work will depend on your abilities and our needs at the moment which are constantly changing.
We are flexible about your start date. You must either be a U.S. citizen or have a valid visa to work in the United States.
The application review process goes as follows:
If we like your quiz responses, then we will read your resume. If we find your resume satisfactory, then we will ask you to have an interview (either in person or on the phone). If we are satisfied with your interview we will ask you for two or three references (preferably either past employers or teachers). If your references are sufficiently positive, we will consider offering you a position.
Please note that (as with essentially all companies in our field), all of our employees and interns must sign a confidentiality agreement in order to protect our proprietary methods and information.
