Individual will oversee and manage all financials and internal operations within the North America Consumer Product division.
Responsibilities:
' Oversees and manage all aspect of accounting and FPA for North America Consumer Product licensing division, which includes audio, consumer products and publishing.
' Managing 3 staff members: Sr. Financial Analyst, Sr. Accountant, and Associate Financial Analyst.
' Responsible for managing month end close (revenue and COS).
o Ensuring excel databases for specific licensed brands are maintained
o Revenue, cost of sales, and A/R are recorded properly.
o Confirm financials from excel database and Jaguar reconciles to one another
o Finalize Monthly Management Reporting package before distributing to senior management.
' Review and confirm assigned Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis.
' Responsible for the development of annual budget and quarterly forecasts (PL and cash flow). Candidate will be heavily involved with the process with both finance and sales team.
' Monitor business trends and develop various business strategies to make YOY growth.
' Develop various deal proposals for sales department when requested.
' Review drafted contracts to ensure financial language is reflected correctly and ensure correct accounting treatments are applied in the Jaguar system.
' Liaising with external auditors and preparation of key audit schedules.
' Work closely with Legal team to verify contracts will be executed on a timely manner.
' Work closely with A/R department to ensure various licensee produce payments are made on a timely manner.
' Ad-hoc project and analytical work required by the Director of Finance such as trend analysis, month end close reports, process improvements and development of Jaguar system.
Qualifications:
' Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent).
' CPA preferred.
' 8+ years accounting and financial experience
' Experience in consumer goods, retail and/or entertainment preferred
' Knowledge of GAAP required
' Significant skill level with Excel, Access, Powerpoint, database development, and overall data manipulation.
' Knowledge of JD Edwards, Oracle and Essbase a plus.
' Advanced Excel skills including ability to use logic formulas including sumifs, vlookups, hlookups, advanced filtering, conditional formatting, charts and pivot tables.
' Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
' Self-starter with strong accounting and financial skills.
' Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills are and the ability to multi-task.
' Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize
' Excellent interpersonal skills, must be able to work with all levels of management
' Understanding of the fundamentals of PL and Balance Sheet ' understanding of the cause and effect of journal entries
