Laid back childrens's wheeled sporting goods company- bikes, skateboards, scooters,etc. - based in mid-town Manhattan, seeks a Junior Graphic Designer. Our company is fun and casual and we are looking for a like-minded person who shares our passion for product and takes pride in being part of a close knit team.
Job Summary
This job is responsible for creating original products/artwork using a variety of sources including licensor style guides and illustrations. Must be a creative individual with strong graphic design/art skills. Previous character licensing experience a must, sporting goods experience a plus but not necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Design and develop products from concept to final art form, including graphic placement
* Produce printer ready art work
* Produce mechanical art packets and send to factories
* Communicate clearly and concisely with factories through entire design process - first designs to final samples
Specific Skills
* College degree in Design or related course of study
* Minimum 2 years experience as a licensed character graphic designer
* Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-changing environment
* Strong attention to detail, highly organized and able to meet strict deadlines
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
