Overview:
We are seeking a self-directed Mid-Level Design Engineer with Security Integration experience to work with highly skilled professionals on diverse projects. This position demands the ability to work independently and make decisions necessary to advance the work and deliver a quality product on-time.
Responsibilities:
Perform complex technical design tasks using AutoCAD and Microsoft software
Review sketches, layouts, electrical circuit and control designs, customer requirements, and specifications
Check drawings
Participate in design reviews and equipment selection
Perform necessary calculations to create design documents, with minimal supervision
Develop working drawings from sketches or descriptions (determine layout need for specific detail)
Prepare preliminary designs based on project criteria and guidance from Project Engineer, Project Manager or Sales department.
Respond to Contractor requests for information and material submittals
Evaluate design concepts and make recommendations
Requirements:
5+ years experience in design/CAD
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Must be familiar with:
Access Control System and CCTV design
Drafting standards, symbols, nomenclature, engineering terms, industrial standards and specifications
