Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is a world renowned organization dedicated to the progressive control and cure of cancer through programs of patient care, research, and education.
As the Residential Maintenance Associate, you will assist all housing and parking customers in a courteous and helpful manner; provide information while working to resolve issues as they relate to the Center's Housing and Parking Program. Provide office related support to the Housing and Parking management and supervisory staff:
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Parking:
- Application -- Upon initial customer inquiry, provide applicable parking applications and give in-depth explanation of the application procedures and required documents.
- Data Entry and Maintenance -- Prepare and review subsequent processing of all parking applications, parking forms, documents, reports and validate credentials.
- Coupon Parking Inventory -- Order parking coupons needed for several different garages when required.
- Revenue -- Complete the following fiscal responsibilities with respect to Rotator staff and Clinical Fellows: accurately calculate amount due, verify payment is correct and log said payment.
Housing:
- Residential Customer Interface and Customer Service -- Provide professional and courteous service to all Housing Department visitors and residents.
- Residential Work Management -- Make ready all vacant apartments for residential occupancy post-inspection. Coordinate access to apartments between staff member or vendor and resident.
- Document and Data Processing -- Prepare for review and subsequent processing all applicable forms, documents and reports, including those of a time sensitive and confidential nature.
- Fiscal -- Initiate check requests, petty cash vouchers, purchase requisitions, and general store orders for supervisor's approval.
- Professional Development -- Acknowledge and become proficient with any new policies and procedures as they impact work management and the department.
Required:
- 3-5 years of commensurate experience, i.e.hospitality management, property management assistant, front line customer service.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel and MS Access. Ability to use housing database systems and applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, database management, electronic mail as well as all Center intranet systems.
- Basic mathematic skill
- Ability to handle confidential information using discretion is critical.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle heavy volume of emails, telephone calls and in-office visits from customers with moderate to urgent problems.
- Must be able to interact effectively with concerned or angry customers and to follow up to ensure problem resolution.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management

Days: Monday thru Friday
Hours: 9:00AM to 5:00PM, must be flexible to come in earlier or work later to accomplish what is necessary.
