Director Technical Accounting -Major Financial Service Conglomerate ,based in NYC is looking for a Director of Technical Accounting /SEC
The candidate should have 6-9 years Public and or Private accounting experience with a large Multinational Company.
CPA is a must-MBA is a plus
Responsibilities :
The Financial Reporting Group is responsible for the preparation of internal and external reports including all SEC filings for the Company.
• Directly responsible for coordination and preparation of SEC filings, including:
o Periodic reports (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K)
• Recognize, research and resolve SEC reporting and general accounting issues
• Preparation of internal monthly reports for multiple entities
• Preparation of multi-year forecasts and budgets for multiple entities
• Assess the impact of new accounting standards and assist in the development of related implementation strategies

Qualities/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree is required, CPA is a must
• Approximately 6-9 years relevant work experience

• Knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations and filing requirements
• Must be able to meet numerous deadlines under tight time constraints
• â€"Roll-up the sleevesâ€� and do it yourself mentality
• Strong analytical/technical skills
• Excellent writing and verbal skills â€" need to be able to draft SEC filings
