A leading financial service firm with an expertise in foreign markets and securities is seeking several analysts to join its team. The firm serves foreign trading desks and enables them to avoid the large spreads often imposed by domestic market makers of foreign securities, substantially reducing their transaction costs. This role will be a great stepping stone to the front-office for soon-to-be college graduates or current professionals, where it entails a wide variety of tasks with exciting learning curves.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the buying and selling securities that may include stocks, bonds and derivatives
* Conduct market research, financial modeling of underlying securities and instruments, and fundamental and technical analysis
* Provide investments manager with ongoing information on market sentiment, trading environment, MA transactions, trading volume and price volatility
* Develops target lists for family offices, high net-worth individuals and other potential investors in order to assist sales in marketing / fund raising
* Develops content to educate clients on private equity, wealth management / portfolio management strategies
* Works with prime brokers at investment banking firms to negotiates commissions for trades and other services
